Few UFC fighters manage to go throughout their entire careers without picking up a single defeat. In boxing, Floyd 'Money' Mayweather is the most recognizable name to have never been beaten, and that fact led to the brash American racking up huge paychecks as fight fans tuned in every time he fought in the hopes that they would finally see the 'Pretty Boy' beaten once and for all. In the Octagon, however, even the all-time greats have suffered devastating setbacks.

Jon 'Bones' Jones is regarded as the greatest MMA fighter who has ever lived, but even he has one disqualification defeat on his record after using illegal elbows in his December 2009 loss to Matt Hamill. Georges St-Pierre has two losses on his record: a submission defeat to Matt Hughes back in October 2004, followed by a stunning knockout loss to Matt Serra three years later, the latter being one of the UFC's greatest ever shocks. Only Khabib Nurmagomedov has managed to retire with his 0 perfectly intact, vanquishing the likes of Conor McGregor, Dustin Poirier, and Justin Gaethje before sailing off into the sunset at 29-0.

So, with that being said, which unbeaten fighters are currently ranked in the top 15 of their weight class today? Let's take a look.

Khamzat Chimaev

Is any fighter more feared currently than reigning middleweight champion Khamzat Chimaev? The Chechen sits at a perfect 15-0, rising through the 185-pound ranks to finally claim the gold last October with a resounding decision victory against Dricus Du Plessis. Many wondered if "Borz" was a UFC hype job after he only managed to scrape a majority decision victory against Kamaru Usman in October 2023, but since then, the current middleweight king has gone from strength to strength.

Chimaev dismantled Robert Whittaker in October 2024 in what many thought would be his biggest test yet. He took "The Reaper" down in seconds before locking in a brutal face crank to claim the submission victory, breaking Whittaker's jaw in the process. Then, he used his wrestling brilliance to outpoint DDP for the title ten months later. Now, he gears up for a highly anticipated title defense against controversial American Sean Strickland, and it's a clash that online betting sites make the champion a huge favorite to win.

The bookies list Chimaev as the clear -500 favorite to retain the gold, with the challenger way out at +400. If you're unfamiliar with understanding betting odds, then let this parlay calculator explain. Inputting the odds on the popular betting tool shows that a $100 bet on Chimaev would pay just $20 in winnings, as opposed to a mighty $400 on Strickland. As such, the Chechen supremo's unbeaten streak is widely expected to continue.

Ilia Topuria

Georgian Spaniard knockout artist Ilia Topuria is another unbeaten fighter and arguably the most vicious puncher in the UFC right now. "El Matador" shot to prominence back in February 2024 when he brutally knocked out long-reigning featherweight champion Alexander Volkanovski to claim the 145-pound title. He would then go on to knock out the highly durable Max Holloway in his first title defense, but rather than being satisfied with that, he campaigned for a fight with then-lightweight king Islam Makhachev in a true battle for pound-for-pound greatness.

Topuria relinquished the featherweight gold and moved up to lightweight, seemingly setting the stage for the grudge match with Makhachev. Unfortunately, however, the Dagestani had other ideas. He, too, moved up in weight and became welterweight champion, resoundingly beating Jack Della Maddalena to become a two-weight world champion. Topuria would indeed get his lightweight title shot, with Charles Oliveira becoming the sacrificial lamb. "Do Bronx' was brutally knocked out inside one round, with El Matador extending his perfect record to 17-0, and Justin Gaethje is the next in line on the lawn of the White House at UFC Freedom 250 this June.

Azamat Murzakanov

Russian light heavyweight Azamat Murzakanov currently sits at 16-0, good enough for sixth place in the divisional rankings. He has knocked out all but one of the seven opponents he has faced in the UFC, with his most recent first-round demolition of Aleksandar Rakić last October announcing him as a major player in the light heavyweight division. Firstly, though, a new champion will have to be decided.

Former king Alex Pereira opted to vacate the gold and move up to heavyweight in a bid to become the UFC's first three-weight world champion. Now, Carlos Ulberg and Jiří Procházka will battle it out for the title at UFC 327. Murzakanov is surely the first in line to face the winner.

Michael Morales

Welterweight Michael Morales has been on an absolute tear as of late. He has knocked out each of his last three opponents, with his stoppage of Sean Brady in Madison Square Garden last November seemingly putting him in position for a title shot. The problem is that plenty more are campaigning for a shot at title holder Makhachev.

Topuria is thought to have first dibs should he dispose of Gaethje in June. Ireland's Ian Machado Garry has also built up an impressive resume, most recently outpointing former champion Belal Muhammad in Abu Dhabi. A title eliminator between those two could be the way to go to determine the next welterweight title challenger.

Movsar Evloev

Russian wrestling ace Movsar Evloev has quietly amassed a record of 20-0, but one problem he has is that he is either unable or unwilling to finish his opponents. That lack of excitement is something UFC matchmakers famously dislike, and it may well be the reason why he hasn't yet secured a title shot. Evloev has outpointed plenty of big names, including Diego Lopes, Arnold Allen, Aljamain Sterling, and most recently, Lerone Murphy. Surely a clash with champion Volkanovski can't be far away.

Farid Basharat

Afghan-born Brit Farid Basharat currently sits at 15-0, but that is currently only good enough for 15th place in the featherweight rankings. He will require wins against ranked opposition if he is to climb the ladder at 145 pounds. Even so, his numbers look impressive, with no losses at present to spoil his perfect record.
