Undefeated lightweight Alejandro Luna (22-0, 15KOs) adds another victory to his perfect record as he faced the tough challenger Andrey Klimov (19-3, 9 KOs) in their co-main bout on PBC on FS1, April 9, 2017 from The Novo by Microsoft in Los Angeles, CA.
Luna opened up round one with a powerful body shot, followed up with a 1-2 high/low combo and a hook up top as both he and Klimov showcased their boxing prowess. Although Klimov withstood plenty of strong shots, Luna maintained his stance as the aggressor for the opening rounds and continued to apply that pressure as a mechanism to maintain his power.
Shortly after witnessing the tenacity and aggression of Luna, Klimov began to counter via clean double jabs and a few solid right hands. Luna utilizes his power, causing a small incision on Klimov’s left eye.
Showing now signs of slowing down in the later rounds, Lunda began his plan to attack the body via 20-second combination as he began to stun Klimov with each landing shot.
