Deiveson Figueiredo last engaged in combat with someone other than Moreno( 21-6) 26 months ago. That was Alex Perez's first attempt to defend his title in 2022. At UFC 256, his rivalry with Moreno eventually drew to a draw before he lost the championship after receiving an impeccable performance from his opponent, who gave him the taste of his own medicine by submitting. A year ago, at their third meeting, he reclaimed his throne after a unanimous decision to make it 1-1-1.
Due to injuries that prevented Figueiredo from competing for the year, Brandon Moreno( 20-6- 2) agreed to a temporary title match with Kai Kara-France in July. The Kiwi was in the prime of his life after defeating Askar Askarov( 2022), Cody Garbrandt( 1921), and Rogerio Bontorin( 2021). Moreno, however, put on a show to demonstrate that he is still of champion caliber and defeated Kara-France in the third round with an exquisite body kick.
You understand the purpose of our tetralogy. Their complete skill sets, combined with their aggression, make this another guaranteed spectacle because they are so evenly matched. You would think this fight would be simple to predict after three fights and more than an hour of fighting.
It really depends on who executes a new game plan and arrives in better shape. Figueiredo failed to appear in their second fight, and Moreno put on his best performance to date. That night, he was in a different class. In the third fight, Moreno reappeared, but Figueiredo also did, and he emerged victorious after three knockdowns that swayed the judges.
The strength of Figueiredo, Moreno's output, and their endurance will be the deciding factors in this situation. The judges will be impressed by Figueiredo's strength and wrestling prowess, whereas the Mexican will always be in the fight due to his cardio.
As the underdog, we believe it will matter once more, and making a choice is wise, especially in light of Moreno's tenacity and submission defense. Nevertheless, a Moreno finish will improve your chances.
