World Series of Fighting Signs Josh Hill to Ever-Expanding Canadian Roster

Josh Hill the Score FacebookWorld Series of Fighting has signed top Canadian bantamweight prospect Josh Hill. WSOF executive vice president and matchmaker Ali Abdel-Aziz revealed the signing to MMAWeekly.com on Sunday.

Hill rose through the ranks in Canada, amassing an unblemished 9-0 record before the UFC came knocking at his door.

He became part of the cast of the eighteenth season of The Ultimate Fighter, which featured UFC women’s bantamweight champion Ronda Rousey and contender Miesha Tate as coaches. Hill was a part of Tate’s team, but lost to Mike Wooten by decision on the seventh episode of the season.

Following the season, which featured men and women, the UFC only kept event men’s winner Chris Holdsworth and runner-up Davey Grant on the roster.

Despite his stellar record prior to the show, Hill was among the rest of the male competitors that were cut loose.

He now, however, joins the World Series of Fighting roster. The promotion has a strong contingent of Canadians since it purchased Aggression Fighting Championship to quickly expand its presence into the Canadian market. A fighter of Josh Hill’s caliber is sure to be a cornerstone of the promotion’s efforts in the Great White North.
