UFC on FOX 28 suspensions: Josh Emmett suspended potential six months after knockout loss

A violent knockout loss could keep Josh Emmett sidelined for six months.

Emmett (13-2 MMA, 4-2 UFC), who was stopped by Jeremy Stephens (28-14 MMA, 15-13 UFC) in the second round of UFC on FOX 28’s headliner, likely will need clearance from a doctor in order to shorten that term.

MMAjunkie requested and today received the full list of salaries from the Florida State Boxing Commission, which regulated the Feb. 24 event at Amway Center in Orlando, Fla. The event’s main card aired live on FOX following prelims on FS1 and UFC Fight Pass.

A total of 14 fighters were suspended following the event. The FSCB redacted individual information about the terms.

• Josh Emmett: Suspended 180 days or until cleared by doctor
• Tecia Torres: Suspended 30 days for laceration
• Ovince Saint Preux: Suspended 30 days
• Mike Perry: Suspended 45 days
• Brian Kelleher: Suspended 30 days
• Renan Barao: Suspended 30 days
• Marion Reneau: Suspended 30 days
• Sara McMann: Suspended 30 days
• Maryna Moroz: Suspended 180 days or until cleared by doctor; suspended a minimum of 30 days
• Alan Jouban: Suspended 30 days
• Ben Saunders: Suspended 180 days or until cleared by doctor; suspended a minimum of 60 days
• Marcin Prachnio: Suspended 30 days
• Russell Doane: Suspended 30 days
• Alex Perez: Suspended 180 days or until cleared by doctor; suspended a minimum of 30 days
