LAS VEGAS – It was a stellar return for Cat Zingano, even though it came with a first-round bump in the road.
Zingano (9-0 MMA, 2-0 UFC) was in big trouble against Amanda Nunes (9-4 MMA, 2-1 UFC) in the first round, eating a bunch of heavy punches on the ground. But she survived to see the second round, where she turned things around. And in the third, she kept it rolling to get a TKO win – and a title shot against women’s bantamweight champion Ronda Rousey.
