One of the brightest rising stars in MMA, John Cholish will look to add a lightweight title to his resume in his next fight at Cage Fury Fighting Championship on June 10.

Cholish, who was first profiled on MMAWeekly.com in December 2010, last fought on the Strikeforce: Fedor vs. Silva undercard in February and looks to take his winning streak to 7 when he fights in Atlantic City.

Cholish will face former WEC and Bellator fighter Jameel Massouh with the Cage Fury Fighting Championship lightweight title on the line.

The stock broker by day may only get to celebrate a new title for a brief time because he may be on the fast track to end up in the UFC in the near future.

“Next stop for John is the UFC,” Cholish’s manager Ali Abdel-Aziz told MMAWeekly.com on Friday.

Cholish, who trains out of the Renzo Gracie Academy in New York City, will look to earn that slot in the UFC when he faces Massouh next weekend.

Also on the June 10 card will be Igor Gracie as he looks to pick up his 3rd win in a row, facing Quinton McCottrell in a welterweight contest.

Gracie was actually on the same Strikeforce undercard that Cholish competed on where he defeated John Salgado by 2nd round arm triangle.

The Cage Fury Fighting Championship card takes place at the Resorts Hotel & Casino in Atlantic City, NJ on Friday, June 10.
