Nate Diaz and Khamzat Chimaev verbally agree to fight at UFC 279 as the main event of that September 10th card in Vegas.
This is Nate's final UFC fight on his contract, he is coming off a loss to Leon Edwards, he has 4 wins and 6 losses in his last 10.
Chimaev has won all 11 of his MMA fights and is coming of a fight of the year contender vs Gilbert Burns.
Khamzat will be a pretty big favorite for this matchup, the UFC is looking to build Khamzat's profile even further by picking a win
over a big name in the sport in Nate Diaz.
Khamzat may have an edge over Nate in most categories in fighting aside from cardio, but it's unlikely that Khamzat will gas out to the point
where he totally empties the tank and gets stopped in rounds 4 or 5. So oddsmakers will put him as a pretty strong favorite in this one.
