Looking to get back on track after suffering his 3rd career defeat in April, Lamont Peterson had no easy task on his hands. Despite fighting on home turf in Fairfax, Va., Peterson took on unbeaten Olympic gold medalist Felix Diaz in the main event of PBC on NBC. Peterson methodically connected on a strong percentage of his punches and showed great movement throughout the fight's first half, but Diaz turned up the heat and became more of a force as the fight moved along. Diaz was the aggressor in the closing rounds, but Peterson continued to land effectively as well, and in the end had earned his 34th career victory.
