Undefeated bantamweights Adan Ortiz and David Perez put on an entertaining battle on PBC on ESPN July 15, 2016.
The two young fighters put on a 6 round scrap and the action started as soon as the bell rang in the first round. Exchanges between the two fighters came in flurries. A left hook by David Perez dropped Ortiz in the opening round, but he couldn't finish his opponent off.
In round 2, the two inexperienced fighters continued to entertain with more heated exchanges, but as the fight continued Perez would slightly pull ahead.
In the middle rounds Ortiz made adjustments to counter Perez's onslaught of punches, and returned with his own, stalking Perez and finding moments to land big shots.
The fight seemed close as the final round ended. but it was David Perez who left an impression on the judges and won by UD, increasing his record to 7-0 (3 KOs).
