When it comes to Saturday’s UFC 205 champion-vs.-champion headliner, many fellow fighters like the underdog.
Featherweight champion Conor McGregor (20-3 MMA, 8-1 UFC) looks to become the first fighter in UFC history to simultaneously hold two belts when he challengers for the lightweight title currently held by Eddie Alvarez (28-4 MMA, 3-1 UFC).
The super fight airs on pay-per-view from Madison Square Garden in New York, and currently, McGregor is a -160 favorite at the sports books.
However, when we asked fellow fighters to give us their predictions for the fight – one that features the No. 1 lightweight and No. 1 featherweight in the USA TODAY Sports/MMAjunkie MMA rankings – many predicted that Alvarez will pull off the upset.
