WSOF 7 live and official weigh-in results


wsof-7-posterVANCOUVER – The WSOF 7 fighter weigh-ins are in the books, and all 18 competitors on Saturday’s card hit their marks.

The festivities take place at Persona’s in Grand Villa Casino in Vancouver. Saturday’s event takes place at Vancouver’s PNE Agrodome.

In the main event, the promotion’s inaugural featherweight title is on the line as Georgi Karakhanyan takes on Lance Palmer. Both fighters were under the 145-pound title-fight maximum. Palmer, a product of renowned Sacramento gym Team Alpha Male, weighed in first and came in at 144.6 pounds. Karakhanyan was 144.7.

The co-main event is a semifinal fight in the promotion’s middleweight tournament, on its way to crowning a first champion in that division. Elvis Mutapcic was 185.6 pounds, while Jesse Taylor was 185.7.

The four-fight main card also features the second WSOF fight for Nick Newell, who was 155.8 pounds for his lightweight fight against Sabah Fadai, who came in at 155. And UFC veteran Kalib Starnes was 205 pounds on the nose for his light heavyweight fight against Dwayne Lewis, who also was 205.

WSOF 7 has a four-fight main card that airs on NBC Sports Network following five prelims that will stream at MMAjunkie.
