James Te Huna got out to a pretty impressive start in his UFC career.
The New Zealand native started with a pair of knockout wins, with his lone loss coming in between them against eventual light heavyweight title challenger Alexander Gustafsson. At this point, that loss can be excused.
After his knockout of Ricardo Romero in Denver at UFC 135, Te Huna returned to Australia, the country he calls home, to face Aaron Rosa. The result was pretty much a nightmare for Rosa as Te Huna started to blast him 90 seconds into the fight. When all was said and done, Rosa was a bloody mess on the canvas, and Te Huna had his second straight win on his way to four in a row.
But things haven’t gone as well for Te Huna his most recent two fights. After stoppage losses against Glover Teixeira and Mauricio “Shogun” Rua, Te Huna (16-7 MMA, 5-3 UFC) will try to snap his skid this Saturday against Nate Marquardt (32-13-2 MMA, 10-6 UFC) in the UFC Fight Night 43 main event at Vector Arena in Auckland, New Zealand.
But before that, check out his devastating victory over Rosa above.
