UFC 190 reactions: Winning and losing fighters on social media

Since the early days when the sport was anything but a mainstream endeavor, the MMA industry has thrived and survived through various websites, forums and, perhaps most importantly, social-media platforms.

Fighters interact with fans, each other and many more through the likes of Twitter, Facebook and Instagram, which helps outsiders get a deeper look into the minds of the athletes.

Following Saturday’s UFC 190 event in Rio de Janeiro, several of the winning and losing fighters, along with their coaches, training partners or family members, took to social media to react to the event or share a message with supporters.

Tho I'm happy with my win, I wish I could have kept a higher pace. My stomach felt weird all day after breakfast yesterday morning and I was only able to get 2 meals in in about 15 hours from waking up till fighttime. After the 1 hour busride to the arena I kept throwing up for about 3 hours all the way till the fight and even after, so I had to pace myself a bit and get some rest in the clinch now and then. I'm still sick today. I think I probably caught a food poisoning, especially since there where more people with similar symptons. Luckily my coaches kept me focussed during the warm up and most important, we won!
