UFC 158 Gets ‘TUF’ Alumni Mike Ricci, Colin ‘Freakshow’ Fletcher

Two former “Ultimate Fighter” finalists will collide at UFC 158, promotion officials announced Tuesday, as Mike Ricci faces Colin Fletcher at the March 16 event.

Headlined by a welterweight title duel between longtime champion Georges St. Pierre and ex-Strikeforce king Nick Diaz, UFC 158 takes place at Bell Centre in Montreal. The evening’s main card airs live on pay-per-view, while FX and Facebook will carry the prelims.

A four-year pro and Bellator veteran, Ricci, 26, advanced all the way to the finals of “TUF 16” before falling to castmate Colton Smith at the Dec. 15 live finale. After starting his career a perfect 5-0, “The Martian” has since gone just 2-3, picking up his most recent victory last March in a unanimous decision victory over Tony Hervey under the Ringside MMA banner.

Known for his lanky frame and colorful appearance, Fletcher was defeated in the “TUF: Smashes” lightweight final by Norman Parke, coming up on the short end of a unanimous decision at UFC on FX 6. The setback snapped a four-fight winning streak for the “Freakshow,” who owns seven of his eight victories via submission and has been stopped just once his four-year pro career.
