SYDNEY – Marshall Zelaznik, UFC Managing Director of International Development, on Tuesday officially announced the UFC 127: Penn vs. Fitch event to be held on Feb. 27 in Sydney at Acer Arena.

In front of a huge media contingent, Zelaznik spoke openly about how serious the UFC is about continuing to hold events in Australia. With recent elections in the state of Victoria there is every chance of the promotion moving to Melbourne for its next Aussie event following UFC 127, if legislation for sanctioning gets approved there.

B.J. Penn and Jon Fitch were both present at the press conference announcing the event, as well as the Australian contingent of James Te Huna, George Sotiropoulos, Kyle Noke, and Anthony Perosh, all of whom will fight at UFC 127.

The promotion’s first trip to Australia, UFC 110, was an immediate sellout. Australian fans appear to be just as eager for UFC 127; tickets have just gone on sale and another quick sellout it expected.

Below is the expected fight card for UFC 127.

Chris Camozzi vs. Kyle Noke
