There have been a lot of reports about the requirements that New York is putting on fight promotions now that the state has opened itself to sanctioned mixed martial arts.
Tim Kennedy is shedding some light on the requirements put on fighters who wish to compete in the state.

Nearly every fighter on the UFC’s 500-plus roster seemed to be trying to work his or her way onto the promotion’s first event in the Big Apple. Some of the fighters that made the cut for UFC 205 might now be rethinking things.
As Kennedy pointed out in a Tweet on Friday, there are extensive expenses for which fighters are liable, everything from cornerman applications to exams to x-rays to other scans. As you can imagine the lengthy list adds up.
