Josh Thomson is set to face Japanese grinder Tatsuya Kawajiri on New Year’s Eve in Japan but the well-rounded veteran has his sights set on a rematch with the man who took his Strikeforce lightweight belt.
Thomson sees a third fight between himself and Gilbert Melendez happening sometime in 2011 and he hopes it will be on pay-per-view.
For that fight to make sense, Thomson will have to get past the 10-year veteran who has been one of the top lightweights to ever come out of Japan.
Check out this exclusive video to see the former champion and UFC vet discuss his preparations for his bout with Kawajiri, as well as his hopes expectations for a third fight with Melendez.
