TUF 13 Ratings Drop Back To a Season Low Against NBA Playoffs and American Idol

Episode 9 of “The Ultimate Fighter: Team Lesnar vs. Team dos Santos” once again scraped the bottom of the season’s barrel, dipping back down to an average of 1.0 million viewers, matching week seven’s TV ratings.

Episode 7 was hard hit by the NBA Playoffs on TNT. This weeks ratings were assaulted by a double-whammy between the NBA Playoffs and the season finale of American Idol, which both ran at the 9pm time slot.

The NBA Playoffs pulled in an average of 7 million viewers, while American Idol had a whopping 29.3 million viewers.

The time slot has been a concern for the ‘Ultimate Fighter’ all season long, but going against two powerhouse programs like the NBA Playoffs and American Idol, and any show is going to pale in comparison.

The final episode of season 13 of the ‘Ultimate Fighter’ airs next Wednesday night at 9pm ET, with the two semifinal match-ups taking place to determine who will fight on Saturday night’s ‘Ultimate Fighter’ finale show in Las Vegas.
