Stephen ‘Wonderboy’ Thompson Meets Matt Brown at UFC 145

Stephen Wonderboy Thompson
A welterweight fight is in the works with dynamite written all over it.

Fresh off of his ‘Knockout of the Night’ debut at UFC 143, Stephen ‘Wonderboy’ Thompson faces Matt Brown at UFC 145.

UFC officials confirmed the fight on Saturday.

A 63-0 prodigy of kickboxing and MMA, Stephen ‘Wonderboy’ Thompson was possibly the most hyped fighter to ever kick off a preliminary broadcast for a UFC event, but he certainly made the most of it.

Thompson head kicked opponent Dan Stittgen late in the first round and put him away in impressive fashion. A few hours later not only was he a UFC winner, but he took home ‘Knockout of the Night’ honors to boot.

For his 2nd trip into the Octagon, he’ll face a fighter as tough as nails as any in the UFC’s welterweight division.

Hard hitter Matt Brown competed on the same UFC 143 card and also scored an impressive knockout that night as he put away former ‘Ultimate Fighter’ competitor Chris Cope.

Now working full time at home in Ohio full time, Brown will hope to stop the ‘Wonderboy’ hype train before it ever gets started.
