Check out the cover of EA Sports UFC, a mixed martial arts video game for the next gen consul (PS4 & XBOX ONE) developed by Electronic Arts. The official game cover features UFC Lightweight Champion Jon Jones (19-1 MMA) and #1 contender Alexander Gustafsson (16-2 MMA) who met each other at UFC 165 in Toronto, Canada back in September 2013. When "Bones" defended his title with a unanimous decision victory, he after the fight said the Swede had given him the hardest fight throughout his career. Not surprisingly their bout took both Fight of the Night and Fight of the Year awards.
The mystery playable character is finally revealed as Bruce Lee. He is considerd by many the most influantial martial artist of all times, he's the founder of Jeet Kune Do and an action movie star. Even UFC President Dana White calls Lee the father of mixed martial arts. EA sports has given away some clues such as Bruce Lee's trunks, and the fact that he has never fought in the UFC, that he would fight at 125, 135, 145 & 155 and that he was born in the USA. Don't worry guys it is not a joke as this picture will speak for itself.
When it comes to if Lee will be playable in the Career mode, it' still unknown. We also don't know if biting will be possible for Lee when defending the armbar just like in the fight scene against Mr. Petrov (Robert Baker) in the "Fist of Fury" movie from 1972 :).
The EA Sports UFC game is coming out on June 17, 2014.
