Nevada Athletic Commission: All Fighters Test Clean at ‘TUF 17’ Finale

The Nevada Athletic Commission announced on Friday that all 24 fighters who competed at “The Ultimate Fighter 17” finale tested negative for banned substances.

NAC Executive Director Keith Kizer informed Sherdog.com of the test results via email. Nevada tests fighters for both performance enhancing drugs and drugs of abuse. The “TUF 17” finale took place at the Mandalay Bay Events Center in Las Vegas on April 13 and was headlined by a bantamweight clash between Urijah Faber and Scott Jorgensen.

Faber captured his second consecutive win inside the Octagon by submitting his fellow WEC veteran with a rear-naked choke 3:16 into the fourth round. Additionally, Kelvin Gastelum became the latest “Ultimate Fighter” by taking a split verdict over the favored Uriah Hall at 185 pounds, and Cat Zingano stopped Miesha Tate in the third round of a women’s bantamweight tilt to earn a shot at reigning titlist Ronda Rousey.
