MFC 40 video highlights: Watch Sam Alvey wallop Wes Swofford with this big right

“Smilin’” Sam Alvey (22-5) was grinning ear to ear after walloping Wes Swofford (9-5) in Friday’s MFC 40 headliner.

Alvey defended his middleweight title with a fourth-round knockout set up a big overhand right, which aired on AXS TV from Shaw Conference Centre in Edmonton, Alberta, Canada.

The video also includes Tom Gallicchio (19-8) earning a slick submission victory over Kurt Southern (13-6) in the co-headliner, which netted him the vacant lightweight title.

Also on the card, Victor Valimaki (18-8) returned from a two-year layoff to submit Bill Widler (8-6), and Marcus Edwards (7-2) tapped out Aaron Gallant (6-6) in the first round.
