UFC middleweight champion Luke Rockhold said on Thursday that he has a torn medial collateral ligament. But don’t worry, he’s not pulling out of his UFC 199 bout with Michael Bisping.
The injury isn’t something that just happened, Rockhold said that he has been training through his entire camp with it.

“I’ve been dealing with a knee injury… this whole camp. But I don’t pull out of fights,” said the champ. “I fight through injuries. I don’t care what the circumstances are. I tore my MCL. I haven’t grappled this whole camp. I just started kicking last week.”
It might appear that Rockhold is preemptively making excuses in case Bisping, who took the fight on two weeks notice when Chris Weidman pulled out with a neck injury, gets the better of him on Saturday night in Los Angeles. To the contrary, he used it as a way to emphasize his superiority to the brash Brit.
“I don’t need a knee. I don’t even need to walk. I’ll crawl in that cage and I’ll still whoop your ass,” said Rockhold.
“I’ve been boxing this entire camp, and that’s all I need.”
