Round 1
Parsons shoots in, easily passes by Bazer's legs and gets to side
control while working a headlock. Bazer tries to sit up, rolling
into a desperation single-leg attempt. Parsons opts to isolate his
arm, jumps to his back and threatens with a kimura. Parsons stands
up, but Bazer is in on his hips. He can't get the takedown as
Parsons sits down on him and takes top. Parsons takes the back,
punching away before Bazer shrugs him off. The Minnesotan stays
tough on top, punching from the guard and looking for passes into
dominant position. Parsons gets to side control as Bazer works his
feet up the fence. Parsons takes full mount for a third time, but
stands up out of it to dive back on top with punches.

Parsons mauled Bazer with his hands.
Just as soon as the second-round bell tolls, Parsons rushes forward
with heavy artillery. Nebraska's Bazer tries to throw an
ill-conceived kick to the body, but Parsons blows threw him,
tagging him with a left hand, then the follow-up right hook that
destroys his consciousness the minute it makes contact. Bazer
clatters back like a falling tree, thunking off the canvas as he
comes down. Referee Bruce Allen instantly intervenes to end the
contest mere seconds into round two.

Round 1
Arocho patiently circles around the perimeter, unsure of attacking.
He wades in casually and gets dinged with a knee. Neves gallops
forward with a knee feint and Arocho clinches, running him into the
cage. As Arocho drives forward, Neves cleverly sweeps his outside
leg and sends his foe flying onto the mat. Neves patiently works
for the guard pass, punching and elbowing to the body before taking
side control. Arocho fights to regain half guard underneath more
steady, chopping punches. Arocho feebly looks for an arm-triangle
choke from the bottom of mount, just hanging on to slow
“Morceguino” down until the bell rings.

Neves stopped Arocho with a steady attack.
The second round goes awry quickly as the spindly
Brazilian jumps in with another lunging knee, but his attack goes
low, hitting Arocho in the groin and prompting referee Dan
Miragliotta to pause the action. After two minutes, we're restarted
on the feet and Arocho wades in with punches, shoots and winds up
pulling guard. Neves lands short hammerfists from the guard. The
pace slows and Miragliotta asks the men on the ground to show him
something. “Morceguinho” steps back to pound his foe and Arocho
upkicks to keep him away. Neves passes by his legs, punching his
way into half guard.
Neves gets a good angle to release from right elbows, and does he
ever release them. The 19-year-old slams forearm after forearm into
Arocho, who covers up his head. Miragliotta tells him to fight
back, but he's still blocking most of the blows' brunt. Neves lands
a hard clean right that snaps Arocho's head back then another
steady stream of elbows that convince Miragliotta to intervene.

Smith stalks Moreno right from the get-go, walking him down with
his hands high. Moreno throws a spinning back kick to slow Smith's
advance but can't land it. Moreno punches then shoots in, with
Smith easily stuffing him, ripping him with a knee to the chest,
then the head. Smith ties Moreno up inside, pummelling for position
steadily but neither man gaining an advantage. Finally, Smith
simply separates and starts walking Moreno down once more. Moreno
starts to advance forward, so Smith jabs and puts his uppercut
behind it. Hard low kick by the UFC and Strikeforce veteran. Smith
continues pressing with his kicks. Moreno looks for a left
roundhouse to the body at the same moment Smith teeps him,
resulting in a front kick straight to the groin. Fortunately, it's
a glancing blow and Moreno shakes it off quickly. Upon resumption,
Moreno tries to crow hop into the pocket against Smith, but eats
leg kicks and right hooks for his effort. As the round nears its
end, Smith changes levels and easily dumps Moreno on the mat for
emphasis.

Smith stopped Moreno in round two.
“Lionheart” is getting more comfortable standing, throwing more low
kicks to open the second frame, hurting Moreno's lead leg and
backing him up. Desperate to respond after 45 seconds of leg
chopping, Moreno throws an overhand and rushes Smith. He gets to
his body, locks him up and runs him into the ground. Unfortunately
for him, the Omaha, Neb., native instantly pushes his head down,
gets his own legs up and tightens a triangle. Moreno is quickly
trapped with nowhere to go and taps out.

Crowder suffered a brutal knee injury.
The two feel one another out with cautious staring and feinting for
a minute or so. Crowder tries to get inside the pocket on Vedepo
quickly but can't get past Vedepo's upright punching. Vedepo lets
off a few bursts of punches which backs Crowder off, prompting a
level change and a shot. The two come together in the clinch where
Vedepo looks for a takedown of his own, getting to Crowder's hips
and trying to muscle him down. As Vedepo wrenches him around,
Crowder's right foot plants awkwardly as “The Doctor” trips him to
the canvas, Crowder's knee bending at an awkward angle beneath him
as Vedepo comes down on top of him.
He cries out in pain, waving his hands and referee Rob Hinds is on
it in a heartbeat, halting the contest. Crowder stays down,
writhing in pain after the injurious mishap.

Round 1
The contest starts at a measured pace with Burley pumping his jab
from the outside. After a minute of gauging the distance, he starts
to duck under, coming forward with swiping hooks. Burley pops
Wright with a lunging left, prompting Wright to kick back at him.
Burley catches the kick and tackles Wright to the ground, where he
quickly finds himself fending off a triangle attempt. Burley
finally breaks Wright's control over his upper body and settles
into Wright's guard. Burley is stagnated in Wright's guard, not
doing much of anything. Wright throws up another triangle and gets
the position, but he has his legs locked on the wrong side and
can't trap Burley's arm across his neck. Burley escapes this
attempt and goes back to his feet. Wright gets in on a single-leg
against the fence, getting it with 30 seconds to go in the round
and nearly moving into full mount. Burley continues to hold onto
Wright's head, so Wright tries a quick shoulder choke a la Jason
Von Flue. He can't get it, but does force Burley to play defense
until the bell.

Burley dominated Wright after the first round.
Burley knocks Wright off-balance as Wright lunges in, sending
Wright rolling for a leglock. Burley defends, pounding away
throughout, but Wright rolls into a single-leg attempt and takes
top position. Burley tries to stand and Wright goes for his back.
He can't get the position, but he throws his leg over Burley's face
and momentarily threatens with an armbar. Burley escapes and gets
to Ali-Inoki position, kicking away at Wright's thighs until
referee Dan Miragliotta asks them to stand. Wright looks tired as
he stands and “Cannonball” comes straight at him with a flying knee
and salvo of punches.
Wright is drifting back to the fence as Burley pops him with jabs
and digs to the body. Wright manages to conserve enough energy for
a decent takedown, sucking Burley to the mat and moving to side
control again. As he takes the position, Burley tries to stand back
up, giving Wright the back crucifix position. Wright tries to use
the position to sweep to top, but he's too tired and nearly gets
mounted. Somehow, Wright scrambles free and the tired pair resume
grappling against the cage. Hard knee to the dome by Burley, but
Wright momentarily sucks him to the mat. Spinning back elbow by
Wright glances, but Burley whacks him with an overhand right.
Wright gets another takedown up against the fence with 10 seconds
to go, but nothing comes of it.

Round 3
Burley is aggressive to begin the final frame, moving an exhausted
Wright straight back to the cage with his jab, then unloading with
both hands, albeit without a ton of zip. Burley continues digging
left hooks to the bread basket and punctuating those punches with
jabs and leg kicks on the way out. Wright continues to try to kick
as Burley punches right through the attempts. Wright throws a right
body kick, Burley catches it and smashes his opponent to the mat
with an overhand right. Wright scrambles to his feet, only to be
rocked by two hard overhand rights from Burley. Wright continues to
stumble back, getting just enough breathing room to get his wits.
Burley keeps coming forward, winging tired hooks. A pair of them
send Wright's mouthguard flying out and we have a brief pause for
Dan Miragliotta to put it back in Wright's mouth. Wright, running
on fumes, tries for a desperate takedown, but winds up getting
tossed on his back and casually mounted with over two minutes to
go. Wright doesn't have the strength or cardio to do much of
anything but take tepid punches and elbows from Burley. With 60
seconds to go, Burley could stop the fight if he could just land
clean or hard enough to warrant it. Wright goes belly down, but
Burley is on autopilot winging at his head and can't generate
enough clean offense to avoid going the distance.

Downing trots forward feinting for 45 seconds before landing a soft
leg kick. Brown simply sits down in the middle of the cage and
looks to counter. Downing leg kicks again and Brown loads up on a
left hook counter. Downing closes the distance, running Brown back
into the cage, but both men struggle with over-unders, progressing
nowhere. With just over 90 seconds to go, Downing finally picks
Brown's ankle and puts him on the canvas. Downing tries to posture
up to pound and winds up nearly getting armbarred. He escapes, but
Brown throws a triangle his way briefly. Downing keeps trying to

Brown was on another level than Downing.
Downing circles the outside for the first 60 seconds, waiting until
Brown finally feints. Downing changes levels but can't get the
takedown and we get another over-under clinch with the squattier
Downing trying to drag his taller foe to the canvas. It's tightly
contested and referee Bruce Allen lets them work, but there's no
real progress being made as Brown uses a kimura threat on the left
arm to shut down most of what Downing is looking to do. Hard right
uppercut-left hook from Brown against the cage.
Downing finally sucks him off of his feet, but Brown posts on his
knees against the fence, waiting it out. As time ticks down, Brown

Downing again pursues the takedown against the fence, but it's

easily defending the takedown and landing some short shots inside.
Brown turns Downing around briefly, but he also can't make headway
on a takedown or land heavy shots inside. Downing gets the position
and gets in on a single. Brown breaks his grip, turns him around
and lands some short lefts. Downing shoots a single, gets stuffed
and takes some elbows to the side of the head. Brown slides up the
fence, regains his feet and pushes Downing back into the fence.
Hard right hook moves Downing back and Brown tags him with an
uppercut after that. Downing responds, of course, with a takedown

Campos starts with three hooks upstairs, which Freire blocks before
responding with a glancing jump knee. Lots of feinting and probing
of the distance from Campos as Freire coolly looks to counter. The
Brazilian lets go of a counter right that tags Campos on his way
in. Freire continues to circle out as Campos wades forward with
punches. “Pitbull” winds up on a big right that misses. A left hook
to the body followed by a glancing right upstairs land for Freire.
Campos walks Freire to the fence again but eats a left hook. Campos
keeps coming forward, finally locating his jab and putting it on
the Brazilian a few times. Campos won't be deterred, continuing to
pressure behind a multiplied jab, hurrying the Brazilian. Sharp
head kick by the Natalense fighter, but Campos eats it, then tags

follow-up punishment, but Campos regains his wits and gets guard

take a hard knee to the forehead and a heavy one-two that spills

looks for a heel hook, but Gomez gets his foot free and slinks his
leg out. They restart standing, but Amoussou ties Gomez back and
moves him straight back to the fence quickly. Gomez gets his back
off the cage and tags “Psycho” clean with a chopping right on the
exit.
Another heavy right from Gomez seems to bring Amoussou to live, as

Lima vs. Rick Hawn
Round 1
The rangier Lima cuts angles moving forward, sticking his right
hand out and snapping off low kicks. Lima gets the jab going and
despite just pumping it out there, he butters Hawn up for an
outside low kick. Two more low kicks from Lima hit Hawn low on the
shin. The controlled pace continues with Lima slowly moving
forward, whipping hard right low kicks as the Iowan crowd boos
gently. With just under 90 seconds to go in the round, Lima crushes
Hawn below the left knee with a brutal kick and legitimately drops
him for a moment. Hawn soldiers through it but Lima goes right back
to the lead leg, He slashes into Hawn's left leg again, buckling
him, then storming with a knee and punches. Hawn goes down against
the fence, but is covering up intelligently. Rather than winging
away, Lima takes his time, loading up on hard shots that cut Hawn

Lima is already in the zone, surgically attacking Hawn's lead leg.
He knocks him down with another brutal right-leg cut kick, then
after letting him back up, ends up dropping him with the next one

another two leg kicks before the third one sends him flying again.
Lima starts to get active with front kicks and his right hand, but
can't break Hawn's high guard. Lima winds up on another low cut
kick and smashes an increasingly-beleaguered Hawn to the canvas
again. Hawn sits in the butt scoot with Lima coldly, casually
kicking at his legs.
Referee Rob Hinds, perhaps sensing Hawn's pride might be prolonging
this matchup, looks to his corner and asks if they want to stop the
fight. Trainer Firas Zahabi jumps on the perimeter of the cage and
signals to Hinds that his fighter is done, ending the bout and
