Bantamweight Prospects Gutierrez, Land Meet at July 29 Titan FC

The fight card for Titan Fighting Championship 19 continues to develop, as promotion officials Tuesday announced that undefeated bantamweights Anthony Gutierrez and Cody Land will collide at the July 29 event.

Headlined by a heavyweight confrontation between hulking wrestler Bobby Lashley and UFC veteran Eddie Sanchez, Titan FC 19 will emanate from Memorial Hall in Kansas City, Kan. The card will also feature a previously announced heavyweight tilt between debuting pros Alex Huddleston and Daniel Gallemore. HDNet will broadcast the show’s main draw live.

Known as “Sharkbait,” Gutierrez (Pictured) is off to a 2-0 start in his professional career after a 17-3 run in the amateur ranks. The K2L Grindhouse representative made his pro debut in January, finishing Jacob Aiken with elbows at Titan FC 16. Gutierrez’s next outing would take place at Titan FC 17, where the Missourian submitted Jon Hollis with a triangle choke on March 25.

Like his foe, Land has also racked up consecutive victories to begin his career. However, unlike Gutierrez, Land will make his Titan debut on July 29. The Hardknocks Gym export has finished both of his opponents, making quick work of Josh Knight and Steve Greise in February and April, respectively. Both victories came by way of submission.
