Alexander Gustafsson is tired of waiting, Jon Jones.
Five days after the UFC announced that Jones vs. Gustafsson II is in the queue and ready to roll, the light heavyweight champion Jones has not signed any papers or agreed to the bout. Right now, the hotly anticipated rematch is in limbo, and the challenger is done with the waiting game.
Taking to his Facebook page, Gustafsson begged Jones to accept the challenge and grant him the rematch at UFC 177.
Along with a picture from their first encounter, Gustafsson posted:
As a nice touch, Gustafsson even tagged Jones in the statement, so whoever runs Jones' Facebook account will receive the notification, putting them in an awkward position to either respond to or ignore the challenge.
Of course, this is all made juicier due to the history between these two standout 205-pound athletes.
Jones and Gustafsson previously fought at UFC 165, where Jones won a unanimous decision after being beaten and bruised like never before. Gustafsson has proven to be the biggest challenge of Jones' career to this point, and many people feel that he may be the man to finally unseat Jones as UFC light heavyweight champion.

After Jones' most recent victory over Glover Teixeira at UFC 172, reporters swarmed Jones with questions about Gustafsson, receiving nothing in return. Since their first fight, Jones has been downright dismissive of Gustafsson and his claim to the throne, causing fans to wonder if "Bones" is still shook up from his close call during their first scrap.
Whether or not that is the case remains to be seen, but one thing is certain: We'll never know until Jones signs the papers and puts the rematch in motion.
