Alex Oliveira is heading back to lightweight after a run of two straight wins at welterweight when he faces Piotr Hallman at UFC Fight Night 77.

Oliveira (12-2-1 MMA, 2-1 UFC) made his UFC debut at 155 pounds. He was caught in an armbar in Round 3 of his fight with Gilbert Burns and subsequently moved up to welterweight where he won fights with K.J. Noons and Joe Merritt. Now, on a two-fight winning streak, Oliveira will drop back down to lightweight.
Hallmann (15-4 MMA, 2-3 UFC) has not had the same recent success as Oliveira. He is currently riding a two-fight losing skid, included in that losing skid are a split decision loss to Gleison Tibau which was followed by a TKO loss to Magomed Mustafaev at UFC Fight Night 69. Hallman last tasted success in June 2014 when he defeated Yves Edwards by rear-naked choke.
UFC Fight Night 77 takes place Nov. 7 at Sao Paulo’s Ibirapuera Gymnasium. The event is expected to air on Fox Sports 1 following early preliminary bouts on UFC Fight Pass.
