In the midst of a five-fight winning streak, Ryan Bader wants his title shot. And why not? The guy who just got a shot, Alexander Gustafsson, was coming off of a loss heading into the fight, and Anthony Johnson has only fought once since he lost to champion Daniel Cormier in a battle for the belt. So why not Ryan Bader?
Well, possibly because stripped former champion Jon Jones is expected to soon be released from his suspension and return to the Octagon, where an immediate title shot likely awaits.

Be that as it may, in a recent interview on Inside MMA, Bader said he has earned his title shot, he wants his title shot, and he even thinks he makes a good case for it, even if Jones returns sooner rather than later.
