Denis Gubarev and Pavel Doroshilov continued the "Road to RCC Boxing" tournament. They had a six-round fight in the heavyweight division.
Doroshilov was more active at the start of the fight, worked well on the body, but then Gubarev began to seize the initiative. Denis found his distance, zeroed in, began to press his opponent and hit more often. More exchanges became closer to the middle of the fight, Doroshilov tried to respond to his opponent in series, at times the boxers exchanged counter attacks well.
In the second half of the fight, Gubarev continued to have the initiative, began to more often press Doroshilov against the ropes and bring down powerful side punches. Pavel responded less, focused more on defense, although he also received side punches and uppercuts at close range, but not as often as he would have liked. The fight went all the planned six rounds, Denis Gubarev won by split decision.
