The bout began at a blistering pace, as Eduard Folayang set the tempo with a flurry of kicks, one of which connected flush to Alvarez’s thigh, sending him crashing to the canvas. Folayang swarmed with ground-and-pound, but “The Underground King” was able to expertly reverse the position and take the Filipino’s back.
