The Fight Nerd caught up with Rob Constance, promoter of the "Ultimate Absolute" no-gi grappling tournament in New York City. This past Summer, Rob held their innaugral event, which was an epic hit with amazing matches and the grand winner taking home a $10,000 cash prize (as well as all competitors taking home an additional $1,000 for every submission). The tournament is returning in a little over a month on February 25, with the lightweights getting a chance to show their stuff at the Hotel Pennsylvania in Manhattan. Constance breaks down the last show and how it got together, as well as his thoughts on why this tournament needed to exist. Furthermore, we get the inside scoop on who will be competing in the next very stacked show.
