Camp started..... no more beer and Cheetos ( Not that that’s part of the normal regiment ) I know a lot of fighter do 6-8 week camps. For me I’ve found 10 weeks is a good number for me . Ive done 12 week camps and have found it’s a little too long and I have a hard time keeping weight on the last few weeks. Some may think 10 is too long but it gives me more room to play with. Ease into camp and not feel like every practice is about getting into shape and killing my body. And if I need a day off here and there I can take it without feeling like it will be detrimental to me. It’s all preference. Every fighter is different. I’ve found this works beat for me. I’m the kind of person who enjoys discipline and is motivated and driven by the feeling of working hard. I do train all year round so for me camp is the time to clean things up a bit with my diet and get into a steady consistent routine and amp things up a bit. Cheers to #ufc223 have a beer for me
