Video: Watch emotions run high in first UFC win for UFC Fight Night 101's Jason Knight

Back in July, the UFC on FOX 20 card in Chicago got a barnburner of a featherweight bout that wound up taking “Fight of the Night” honors.

In a bloody battle, Jason Knight took a split decision from Jim Alers in a prelim fight in which emotions ran high from the opening introductions.

Next up, Knight (14-2 MMA, 1-1 UFC) returns to action when he takes on Dan Hooker (13-6 MMA, 3-2 UFC) on UFC Fight Night 101’s preliminary card. UFC Fight Night 101 takes place Saturday (Sunday in Australia) at Rod Laver Arena in Melbourne, Victoria, Australia. The event airs on FS1 following early prelims on UFC Fight Pass.

The two were supposed to meet at UFC Fight Night 97 in the Philippines before that card was scrapped in October. Now they shift to “The Land Down Under.” Hooker hails from nearby New Zealand. Will Knight, from Mississippi, be able to overcome the long travel time and Hooker’s home-cage advantage to get his second win in the UFC?
