Cub Swanson has been the hottest thing going in the UFC’s featherweight division outside of titleholder Jose Aldo.
With six straight wins, including four knockouts, Swanson (21-5 MMA, 6-1 UFC) could be on the cusp of a shot at the belt. First, he’ll have to win one more starting Saturday against former lightweight champion Frankie Edgar (17-4-1 MMA, 11-4-1 UFC).
Swanson headlines a card for the second straight outing when he meets Edgar in the main event of UFC Fight Night 57 at Frank Erwin Center in Austin, Texas. The main card airs on FOX Sports 1.
In June, Swanson topped Jeremy Stephens in the UFC Fight Night 44 main event and won “Fight of the Night” honors. But right before that, his heavy hands were on display for another “Fight of the Night” winner against Dennis Siver at UFC 162 nearly a year prior in Las Vegas.
Check out how Swanson put Siver away at that event. Then don’t miss his fight against Edgar on Saturday.
