While most fighters resort to social-media swipes or one-liners at press conferences to tweak Conor McGregor, fellow UFC fighter Ricardo Lamas has raised the bar – and the production values.
Lamas (15-3 MMA, 5-1 UFC) skewered McGregor (16-2 MMA, 4-0 UFC), who headlines Sunday’s UFC Fight Night 59 event in Boston opposite Dennis Siver (22-9 MMA, 11-6 UFC), with a seven-minute video. Lamas stars as “The Delirious” Conrad McGillicutty in the above spoof.
It’s not exactly a flattering parody of “The Notorious,” who’s been a past target of Lamas’.
Check out the above video, which includes a few guest appearances, including one from “Mr. International” himself, Shonie Carter.
Lamas, a former title challenger who’s ranked No. 3 in the USA TODAY Sports/MMAjunkie MMA featherweight rankings, has pulled out the McGregor impression before. Check out the below video from November, in which Lamas mocks McGregor while saying he plans to be a little more outgoing so fans and UFC officials get to know him better.
