Video: Here's a slow-motion look at the blow that broke Thiago Alves' nose

If you’re not the squeamish type, check out the perfectly placed elbow that broke Thiago Alves’ nose in Saturday’s UFC Fight Night 67 headliner.

Alves (21-10 MMA, 13-7 UFC), who wasn’t allowed to continue past the second round because of his mangled schnoz, ate a stiff elbow from fellow welterweight Carlos Condit (30-8 MMA, 7-4 UFC).

FOX Sports 1’s cameras, which broadcast the event from Goiania Arena in Goiania, Goias, Brazil, captured the fight-altering blow.

If you missed the earlier update, Alves was immediately taken to the hospital after the event, though he posted an update a few hours later and admitted it just “wasn’t my night.”
