UFC 205 results: Vicente Luque ends Belal Muhammad's night in 79 seconds with vicious KO

NEW YORK – “The Ultimate Fighter 21” vet Vicente Luque picked up his second straight knockout victory after graduating from the reality show with a pair of submissions.

Luque (11-5-1 MMA, 4-1 UFC) bullied Belal Muhammed (10-2 MMA, 1-2 UFC) around the octagon before catching him with a left hook that set up a concussive end at the 1:19 mark of the first round.

The welterweight bout was part of the preliminary card of today’s UFC 205 event at Madison Square Garden in New York. It aired on FS1 following additional prelims on UFC Fight Pass and ahead of the main card on pay-per-view.

Luque, who was eliminated in the semifinals of “TUF 21,” now has won four straight in the octagon after a decision loss to cast member Michael Graves in his first post-show appearance.

Muhammed was in mid-combination and setting up for a kick when Luque snuck in a power punch that sent his opponent to the mat. Standing over Muhammed, he let go a few punches that forced referee John McCarthy to intervene.

Muhammed, a former Titan FC welterweight champ, goes back to the loss column after a TKO win over Augusto Montano at UFC Fight Night 94 this past month.
