Andrei Arlovski heading into UFC 195 riding the momentum of 'no more crazy stuff'

LAS VEGAS – Andrei Arlovski is in the middle of a run that very few people expected.

The former UFC  heavyweight champion is on a six-fight winning streak, with his four most recent fights coming in his return to the UFC. Arlovski (25-10 MMA, 14-4 UFC), who is ranked No. 4 in the USA TODAY Sports/MMAjunkie MMA heavyweight rankings, will next face Stipe Miocic (13-2 MMA, 7-2 UFC), ranked No. 3, Saturday at UFC 195.

The card takes place at MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas. The main card airs on pay-per-view following prelims on FOX Spots 1 and UFC Fight Pass.

Arlovski attributed his resurgence to growing as not only a fighter, but a person when speaking to MMAjunkie at the UFC 195 open workouts.

“I became a smarter fighter,” Arlovski said. “At this point, I choose what is more important for me. if you’re talking about business, definitely I want to be a champion again. If we’re talking about other stuff, it’s definitely number one for me is my family. No more crazy stuff.”
