A featherweight bout between a pair of competitors on “The Ultimate Fighter: Latin America” is slated for the UFC’s return to Los Angeles.
Masio Fullen (9-4 MMA, 0-0 UFC) is set to take on Alexander Torres (2-1 MMA, 0-0 UFC) at UFC 184 next month. UFC officials today announced the new booking.
UFC 184 takes place Feb. 28 at Los Angeles’ Staples Center. The main card airs on pay-per-view following prelims on FOX Sports 1 and UFC Fight Pass.
Fullen, from Mexico, has eight of his nine career wins by stoppage, including five submissions. Since back-to-back losses in 2012, he has two straight wins, not counting his appearance on “TUF: Latin America.” Fullen, part of Cain Velasquez’s team on the show, lost his lone fight in the “TUF” house.
Torres, from Colombia and a former welterweight, has both his career wins by knockout in 2013. On the show, he was part of Fabricio Werdum’s team, but like Fullen, he dropped his first fight in the house.
