Paige VanZant Announces Engagement to MMA Fighter Austin Vanderford

MMA fighters Paige VanZant and Austin Vanderford found love inside their sport.

On Sunday, VanZant announced their engagement with a Twitter message and picture of Vanderford proposing in front of water:

This is surely welcome news for VanZant after she lost to Jessica-Rose Clark at UFC Fight Night 124 earlier this month. She suffered a broken arm in defeat.

VanZant is 1-3 in her last four fights following the loss to Clark, although she was fighting an uphill battle after the injury. She posted a message on Twitter after the defeat noting she broke her arm in the first round and had a hard time "recovering and throwing my right."

As for Vanderford, Sherdog.com lists him as 3-0 in his professional career with his last victory coming on Dec. 16 at Victory Fighting Championship 59 against Kenny Licea.

According to TMZ Sports, "The couple's been going out since at least this past summer, when she posted a photo of the two of them together in August with the caption 'Mine.'"

TMZ Sports also previously reported VanZant said she was "definitely interested" in eventually moving to WWE.

For now, though, she has a wedding to plan.
