Report: Conor McGregor vs. Floyd Mayweather happening Aug. 26 in Las Vegas

The much-discussed crossover boxing match between unbeaten boxer Floyd Mayweather and UFC lightweight champion Conor McGregor will indeed take place this summer, according to a new report.

Veteran combat sports journalist Kevin Iole of Yahoo! Sports today reported the two have booked an Aug. 26 date in Las Vegas, either at MGM Grand Garden Arena or T-Mobile Arena.

Earlier today, the Nevada State Athletic Commission approved the Aug. 26 date requested by Mayweather Promotions, paving the way for the fight.
