A middleweight matchup between Brazilian grappler Bruno Santos and undefeated Russian prospect Vagab Vagabov has been added to WSOF 34.
Company officials recently announced the contest for the card’s MMAjunkie-streamed prelims, which precede additional preliminary bouts on NBCSN and a main card that airs on NBC.
Featuring four championship fights, WSOF 34 takes place Dec. 31 at The Theater at Madison Square Garden in New York.
Santos (14-2) returns to action for the first time in more than two years. “Carioca” contested three fights under the UFC banner but was ultimate released after going 1-2 in that run, with all three contests going to the judges. He’s since begun training with Florida’s MMA Masters team and looks to get back on the winning track.
Vagabov (18-0) brings an unblemished career mark to the contest, a run that includes a September 2015 win over Brian Grinnell at WSOF 23. Vagabov has since competed and won in his native Russia and now returns to the WSOF decagon.
With the addition to the card, WSOF 34 now includes:
MAIN CARD (NBC, 4 p.m. ET)
PRELIMINARY CARD (NBCSN, 3 p.m. ET)
PRELIMINARY CARD (MMAjunkie, 1 p.m. ET)
