There was a lot of controversy when the decision was announced following The Ultimate Fighter Finale 24 bout between top flyweights Joseph Benavidez and Henry Cejudo. 

Of course, it’s always controversial when a fight goes to a split decision, which this one did, but when the scores ultimately fell to Benavidez’s favor, there were unending differences of opinion.

One significant factor in the fight was the referee deducting a point from Cejudo for a second low blow in the first round. But even with that, the differences between the three scorecards was notable.
