Titan FC featherweight champ Andre Harrison signs with WSOF, meets Bruce Boyington at WSOF 34

WSOF has bolstered its roster with the signing of a Titan FC champion, and he’ll make his promotional debut next month.

Andre Harrison (14-0), Titan FC’s featherweight titleholder, has signed with WSOF to meet Bruce Boyington (14-9) at the promotion’s New Year’s Eve show, WSOF 34. The promotion recently announced the signing and booking.

WSOF 34 takes place Dec. 31 at The Theater at Madison Square Garden in New York City. The main card airs on NBC, beginning at 4 p.m. ET (1 p.m. PT), following prelims on NBCSN and MMAjunkie. A whopping four title fights lead the card. Harrison vs. Boyington will take place on the preliminary card.

In September, Harrison told MMAjunkie Radio he believed he was ready to sign with a promotion at the next level. Now he’ll get that opportunity.

Harrison defended his featherweight title in September with a five-round unanimous decision win over Alexandre Bezerra at Titan FC 41. Prior to that, Harrison continued the perfect start to his career in June with a TKO win over Deivison Ribeiro in a title defense at Titan FC 39. Ribeiro suffered a third-round leg injury, leading to the stoppage.

Harrison took a unanimous decision from Kurt Holobaugh to win the featherweight title at Titan FC 34 in July 2015. The New Yorker then defended it with decision wins over Desmond Green at Titan FC 35 and Steven Siler at Titan FC 37 before his wins over Ribeiro and Bezerra.

The 37-year-old Boyington had a five-fight winning streak snapped in August with a loss to Musa Khamanaev in Russia. But before that, his resume included a pair of WSOF split-decision wins over Rodrigo Almeida at WSOF 24 and Saul Almeida at WSOF 31 in June.
