The anticipated professional debut of Kevin Ferguson, Jr., (aka Baby Slice) will have to wait… again.
Ferguson’s bout against Rick Bing, slated for Friday’s Bellator 162 undercard, was nixed on Thursday when Bing came in 16 pounds over weight at the early official weigh-in. Bellator officials confirmed the news to MMAWeekly.com, following an initial report by FloCombat.

“As a result of Ray Bing missing weight by 16 pounds, the bout has been canceled. Kevin Ferguson Jr. was paid his show money and will be re-scheduled to fight before the end of 2016,” Bellator officials told MMAWeekly.com.
Having gone 1-0 as an amateur, Ferguson, the son of deceased backyard brawler turned MMA sensation Kimbo Slice, has had a difficult time getting his professional career off the ground. The Bing cancellation marked his second failed attempt to get into the Bellator cage.
Ferguson was originally slated to debut on Aug. 26 at Bellator 160. That fight was derailed when Ferguson suffered an injury in training, forcing him out of the fight.
With Bing now out due to missing weight, Ferguson will have to wait even longer for his professional debut, although Bellator will attempt to get him in the cage before the end of the year.
