UFC 204: Michael Bisping vs. Dan Henderson video highlights

Dan Henderson made sure his last hurrah was memorable, even if he couldn’t wrest the title from the grasp of Michael Bisping.

The middleweight title bout was the main event of UFC 204 at Manchester Arena in Manchester, England. It aired pay-per-view following prelims on FS1 and UFC Fight Pass.

Henderson (32-15 MMA, 9-9 UFC) came close to finally capturing a UFC title when he caught Bisping (30-7 MMA, 20-7 UFC) flush with a patented “H-bomb” right hand in Round 1. Bisping was dropped by the blow and ate several massive punches and elbows before escaping back to his feet.

Bisping managed to claw his way back into the fight despite a second knockdown in the second round. Eventually, his volume striking won out over Henderson’s single power shots and Bisping was awarded the decision by scores of 48-47, 48-47 and 49-46.

Following the loss, Henderson announced his retirement, a move he said before the bout was coming win or lose.
