UFC Fight Night 91 gets Tim Boetsch vs. Josh Samman, Scott Holtzman vs. Cody Pfister

The UFC’s South Dakota debut now has a pair of fights, as Tim Boetsch meets fellow middleweight Josh Samman, while Scott Holtzman takes on lightweight Cody Pfister.

UFC officials recently confirmed the bouts – the first two official contests for the card – with the Argus Leader. A main event has yet to be determined.

UFC Fight Night 91 takes place July 13 at Denny Sanford Premier Center in Sioux Falls, S.D. The event airs on FOX Sports 1 following prelims on UFC Fight Pass.

“The Barbarian” Boetsch (18-10 MMA, 9-9 UFC) is likely fighting for his spot on the roster, as the heavy hitter has suffered consecutive defeats to Ed Herman, Dan Henderson and Thales Leites. He now meets “The Ultimate Fighter 17” cast member Samman (12-3 MMA, 3-1 UFC), who saw a three-fight winning streak come to a halt with a December loss to Tamdan McCrory.

“Hot Sauce” Holtzman (8-1 MMA, 1-1 UFC) fought most recently in January, where he suffered a decision defeat to Drew Dober. “The Pfist” Pfister (12-5-1 MMA, 1-2 UFC) looks to rebound from a December loss to Sage Northcutt.
