Cedric Manhoef stepped on late notice for this past Friday’s Lion Fight 28 headliner. Check out the highlights from the fight.
Cedric Manhoef (51-3-1), the nephew of Bellator and Strikeforce vet Melvin Manhoef, replaced Kem Sitsongpeenong and took on reigning champion Jo Nattawut (56-5-2) for the super-welterweight title at the muay Thai event, which aired on AXS TV.
Unlike his uncle, whose career has bounced between MMA and kickboxing bouts, the younger Manhoef hasn’t ventured into the cage. But he entered Friday’s bout at Foxwoods Resort Casino in Mashantucket, Conn., on a surge.
Check out the video above to see how he did on two weeks’ notice, and check out highlights from the night’s other featured bouts.
