UFC 195's Robbie Lawler: Carlos Condit is one of the best, but so was Rory MacDonald

LAS VEGAS – Robbie Lawler is ready to face Carlos Condit on Saturday at UFC 195. It’s a fight that many expect to be a stiff test for the welterweight champion, but Lawler isn’t stressing about the challenge.

“He’s one of the best all-around guys,” Lawler said of Condit at the UFC 195 open workouts. “Rory MacDonald was one of the best all around guys. There’s really high-level guys in the UFC and my division. I have to be ready at all times.”

Lawler (26-10 MMA, 11-4 UFC) and Condit (30-8 MMA, 7-4 UFC) serve as the main event of the card, which takes place Saturday at MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas. The main card airs on pay-per-view following prelims on Fox Sports 1 and UFC Fight Pass.

While Lawler had positive things to say about Condit, he also made it clear that he doesn’t worry much about who the UFC puts in front of him.

“You know I don’t worry about who they’re putting in front of me,” Lawler said. “Why would I worry? Why not? Why this guy? That’s just nonsense for me to waste my energy. That’s who they put in front of me and that’s who I was getting ready for. My coaches do all the breaking down of the opponents, I leave it up to them. I’m concentrating on myself.”
